Thanks for taking the time to visit us. We are now in the process of accepting partners in "Erotic Aquatics III," a new one-hour, three-camera video production to be shot here in Southern California. Although we have produced more than 30 shows over the past 16 years, this will be our first show to be mastered and distributed internationally on interactive DVD, as well as the normal VHS and PAL video formats for the home video market, cable and PPV television in the United States and other countries.
Our projected budget for this new production is $101,000 and we are limiting participation to a maximum of 20 persons, with individual investments a maximum of $5,000 each. The reason we must limit the number of people involved is because each investor has a right (in fact, is invited) to participate in the various stages of production, including initial casting interviews, casting call-backs, pre-production meetings, actual shooting of the production on location, post-production sessions and all other relevant business and decision-making meetings. With more than 20 participants (in addition to our own crew), I'm sure you can see what type of "crowd" might form. WARNING: investor or not, if you're present at the actual production, be prepared to act as a production assistant and hold a light, reflector, or other piece of equipment, or run errands to pick up whatever the director, cast, or cameramen need.
Accounting for the production is taken care of by a gentlemen who is a CFE (certified to do fraud examination for the federal government), and if anything was not on the up-and-up, he'd be the first one to turn us in (that's the way those guys are, no matter how friendly you are with them).
Once the production is released, the accountant periodically prepares statements of revenue, which are sent to all interested parties on a regular basis. Outside investors each may purchase 1/20 of the one-half partnership of the production which is being sold. All investors share in revenue from "dollar one." No representations are being made as to the tax effect of this investment: please check with your own accountant if you have questions about the propriety of writing it off.
